get your kumquat on

Easy does it with these beauties. A delicious, tiny, tart fruit, kumquat trees are fairly easy to come by in Southern California. Plenty of yards have them, but you can always try a flower market or grocery store if you can’t find any in your hood. But really, walk around and see which neighbor has one growing over a fence, they truly are that easy to come by. Kumquats look best when paired with white and peach flowers and lots of greenery. Something about them makes even the simplest of arrangements look lush and luxe.

Try this at home by combining these babies with some Icelandic poppies or garden roses. But really, any white flower you find at the market will look elevated in this arrangement. Then add in a few sprigs of eucalyptus or another soft filler to finish off the look. Presto, you’ve become a professional florist in no time at all!
