curb appeal for the holidays

All it takes is a little something something to get your front door ready with seasonal appeal. We’re all busy these days, so it’s totally understandable that you don’t have the time (or budget) to go completely wild outside. And guess what, whether you’ve got a whole front yard to bedeck or an apartment door, you can absolutely get blingy in the best way possible.

You can go classic with a wreath, but even that doesn’t need to be traditional. Olive branch wreaths have been trending the last few years and I am here for it, honey. Bring the California casual vibe to your front door with some simple thistle, paperwhites, snowberries, eucalyptus, whatever strikes your fancy. Even plane branches is remarkably beautiful. Wreaths really not your thing? Then try hanging some vintage sleigh bells and asymmetrical garland around your front door. Totally simple yet striking.

If you are fortunate enough to have a front yard, try hanging a few lanterns (electrified or candle-lit) from any trees (or giant cacti) you have around. This look is normally saved for the backyard, but why not bring some of that festive joy for all your neighbors to see? A little bit of added magic that’s a step above the typical Christmas lights.
